CortexLab (hereinafter "the Service") is a web application that provides brain training and cognitive performance measurement based on cognitive science. The Service is provided for the purpose of understanding and improving individual cognitive function.

The Service does not constitute medical practice and is not intended for medical diagnosis, treatment, or prevention. If you have health concerns, please consult a healthcare professional.

2. Terms of Use

By using the Service, you agree to the following conditions:

• The Service is intended for personal use
• Training can be used without account registration, but saving results requires an account
• The Service is free to use (paid plans may be offered in the future)
• If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using the Service

3. User Accounts

Users can create an account using a Google account or email address.

• You are responsible for managing your account information
• If unauthorized use of your account is discovered, please contact us immediately
• Transfer or sharing of accounts is prohibited

4. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are prohibited when using the Service:

• Placing excessive load on the Service's servers or network

• Training results and scores provided by the Service are reference indicators of cognitive performance and do not constitute medical evaluation
• The operator assumes no liability for damages arising from use of the Service
• The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose
• The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to system failures or maintenance

6. Service Changes and Termination

The operator may change the content of or terminate the Service in the following cases:

• For service improvements and updates
• When continuation is technically difficult
• When other unavoidable circumstances arise

Users will be notified with reasonable advance notice before service termination.

7. Intellectual Property

Copyright, trademark rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Service belong to the operator. Rights to data submitted by users through the Service (such as diary entries) belong to the user.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service shall be governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for any disputes related to the Service.
